Her parents were divorced in her early teens. Despite this God brought beauty for ashes. Sheryl accepted Christ at Evangel Assembly of God in the 9th. grade. She was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work from Robert Wesleyan College, a Master of Science in Social Work Degree from the University of Buffalo, and New York State Certification for social work.
During this time she remained active in church ministry. Mutual friends introduced her to Terry while he was incarcerated. It was during these visits and preparation for Terry's release that she grasped the vision of 'Grace House' and understood the need for those men and women she met.
Working in a career field where physical challenges are confronted daily, her spirit, her encouragement to others and her unselfish ways testify to God's Grace and fullness of God's Spirit that shines from within. Sheryl serves as Secretary and is responsible for all aspects of family ministry.
